Dialing for Relationships. A Modern Love Story ... Kind of - blog*spot

I was sitting around the other night watching my cell phone in case someone was trying to call me and no-one was.? No-one ever does .... evidently the fisher price cell phones are just pretend phones and don?t really work.? Still I like to hold on to it when I am out in public and pretend it is on vibrate and that people are calling me.? I figure maybe someone there might see me and think I have friends.?

One day when hubby was out he left his phone behind and I thought maybe I should try the ?relationship calculator. I had seen it on television and?it looked pretty easy.? I figured even non geeks could do it if they concentrated and wore a pocket protector.? You just type in your name and the name of the other person and it will tell you if you?are compatable so you don?t waste your time on duds or anything.? Brilliant idea.? Isn?t the new technology amazing?? I had to know ... I was not going to start out the new year with any dead baggage ....
I had two names ... yes two ... that I had been trying to decide between for years, both of them having had up and down relationships with me ... good times and bad .... tears and laughter ... but something was always just kind of missing and I had to know which one was the right one for me ....

I carefully typed each name in turn and to my surprise ... NEITHER one were compatible with me at all.?? You know tough news is hard to hear but there comes a time when you just have to be grown up enough to handle it.? God never closes a door without opening a window.? You have to get rid of the old to make way for the new.? I am sure there are other asinine sayings that I could type in here but Pinterest seems to be down at the moment and grandma's crocheted pillows are in the wash.??

I cried, but knew what I had to do. I decided, best to come clean and just tell them both at the same time. There is no way to sugar coat a break up.? Best to just deal with it, keep it simple and get it over with.? I pulled in a crack support team of experts to help with grief counselling for them as they heard the news and then had to come to terms with the next few weeks and months without me ....
Slowly I walked to the room where everyone was waiting for me ..... opened the door and entered. They were sitting there, looking at me ... I took a deep breath and started ....
